Watch Water Freeze and Do Mind-Bending Tricks When Exposed to a Speaker

Water is pretty boring. Either it sits still in a tub or it runs out of the tap the same way every time. We set out on a mission to make water cool, and succeeded with flying colors.

We took a speaker, a hose and and some tone generating software. We attached the hose to the speaker and then used the software to produce a sound right at 24hz, a frequency with a lot of vibration.

Using high frequency vibrations attached to the hose, we then managed to make the water freeze.

Because the water is attached to the speaker producing the sound, the waterfall begins to mimic and representing the sound waves leaving the speaker.

We then experimented with 23hz and 25hz. The results were even more fascinating.
