Unexpected Dance Battle Breaks Out on Jumbotron at Hockey Game

Fist Fights. Canadians. Funny Mascots. Ice. There are a lot of things you can expect to find at a hockey game. Typically, dance battles aren’t one of those things.

At at home game for the Anaheim Ducks, the Jumbotron began playing footage from the audience-facing cameras, also known as the kiss cams. This is the part of the game where someone usually makes a funny face or says hi to their mom. Typically, the audience cameras are used to keep the crowd amused while the ice is swept or the referees are preparing for a face-off.

Well, one enthusiastic fan took to the spotlight like a moth to a flame and made the most of her 15 seconds of fame. Without any coaxing, she broke out into an epic dance sequence, cheered on by fans across the stadium. As if issuing a challenge, the Jumbotron camera switched to a pair of women in team jerseys. Without missing a beat, they took the bait and attempted to one up the first woman.

What resulted was an awesome two and a half minute dance battle between the two groups. So, who won? Only you can decide. Take a look at the video below and see for yourself!
