Kids Impacted by Abuse and Neglect, Now Asking for Heartbreaking Gifts for Christmas

Every Christmas, we give and receive more than any time of the year. Whether it is for our friends, family, or significant others, we prepare gifts that we intend to exchange with others.

Their mission, according to their Facebook, page, is “providing crisis intervention services to children impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect.”

It is a service that helps to keep families together and children out of the foster care system when the only issue at hand is a lack of funds.

Having a snack at school might not just be just about the hunger but about feeling ashamed and embarrassed to not have anything to eat while everyone else around him does.

It’s a simple thing, yet can carry a lot of meaning to those who are less fortunate. From toy trains to new pants for a growing 12-year-old girl, the requests from the gift tags are often small but very meaningful presents.

The tags themselves surely speak for themselves and it’s a shock that many children don’t even have the basic necessities.

If you are interested in adopting a child this holiday season you can stop at Visco’s Pizza in Scotia to pick up a tag….
