When people want to adopt dogs, they usually prefer the cute little puppies and neglect the older dogs.

But these dogs are still capable of being your fun best friend, despite their advanced age.

And this video from PETA, showing a man adopting an elderly dog, proves that point.

Set to Yusuf Islam’s (formerly Cat Steven’s) song “I Love My Dog,” it shows the man and his dog bonding, going out for walks, and eventually saying goodbye.

But the uplifting ending makes the whole video worth it.
