Deaf Singer Gets Simon to Hit “Golden Buzzer” After She Tells Him Why Her Shoes Are Off

Life hasn’t been easy for Mandy Harvey. When she was 18 years old, she lost her hearing due to a connective tissue disorder that caused her nerves to deteriorate. Despite all this negativity, Harvey didn’t let it stop her dreams of becoming a singer.

11 years later, she’s now debuting on the America’s Got Talent stage to pursue her dreams.

Mandy tells the judges about her story and explains that she had been singing since she was 4. When she lost her hearing, she lost all hope and decided to give up.

That was until she found a way to continue pursuing it even without her hearing. She feels the vibrations on the floor and that’s how she reads the beat and tempo of the music.

With a bit of trusting in her pitch, Mandy’s singing blew the crowd and the judges away.

It’s clear to see that Mandy’s performance is special and one-of-a-kind. That’s why judge Simon Cowell decided that she had earned his golden buzzer.
