Ambam, the western lowland gorilla, has learned a new nifty trick at the Kent Animal park.
The massive silverback gorilla is causing a stir around the globe when viral footage of him was released standing upright on two legs and walking like an ordinary human.
Instead of walking around on all fours, Ambam has learned how to balance and walk while standing on two legs. His human-like action has led to a steep increase in the number of zoo visitors.
Ambam stands at about six feet tall when standing upright. But the difference between him and the ordinary man, is his weight! Ambam comes in at 476 pounds instead of the average 200!
That’s a lot of weight to be balancing on two legs.
