Paramedics Bring Woman on a Stretcher to the Beach, Fulfills Unusual Request

When a crew was bringing a woman to the hospital, they got a rather unusual response.

They were transporting a patient to the palliative care unit of the local hospital and the patient expressed that she could be at the beach again.

Going above and beyond the request, the crew decided to wake a quick detour to the beach as Hervey Bay to give the patient the opportunity.

“Tears were shed and the patient felt very happy,” Queensland Ambulance said in a Facebook post.

“Sometimes it is not the drugs/training/skills – sometimes all you need is empathy to make a difference.”
